The Story of Kong Apparel
The Kong Apparel brand was created in 2020 by a parkour athlete with a background in graphic design. Inspired by the lack of parkour themed clothing he set out to create a clothing brand dedicated to celebrate parkour culture and fandom with the world.

The website was lunched in 2021 along with the first shirt designs.
BE STRONG
Our brands motto "Be strong" derives from Georges Hébert personal motto "Être fort pour être utile" ("Be strong to be helpful") and it served as the ethos for his physical practice "méthode naturelle". This saying carried over to parkour and has become part of that method as well
LOGO
The
The name comes from one of parkours most recognizable movements the "Kong vault" and is know by other names as well.
Kong vault is a quadrupedal jump/movement used to clear an obstacle. It is reminiscent of an animalistic movement such as the gait of a gorilla.
The logo tries to depict a side profile of a mountain gorilla and the name "Kong". The word "kong" is also synonymous with "gorilla" because of the popularity of characters like King Kong and Donkey Kong.
Red was chosen as the default colour for the logo to stand out on the clothing and other designs.
